SHERIDAN, Wyo. (AP) - Decker Coal Mine has restored the majority of jobs cut during layoffs last year.

General Manager Stephen Ketcham says the mine cut 59 workers more than a year ago, and of those, 32 have been hired back.

The Sheridan Press reports (https://tinyurl.com/lmzaeol ) the other 27 were offered their jobs back but they chose to take work elsewhere.

Ketcham says the mine has filled eight new positions in the past few weeks in order to meet production demands.

The mine is located about 35 miles northeast of Sheridan.
