HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) - A grand opening celebration is set for Friday for the renovated Ozark Bathhouse in Hot Springs.

The historic bathhouse was built in 1922 and closed in the 1970s. It has been renovated as a cultural center for Hot Springs National Park.

The structure is among a number of bathhouses on Central Avenue’s Bathhouse Row that are being repurposed for commercial and other uses.

The National Park Service says the Ozark Bathhouse will serve as an art gallery and will feature work by the park’s Artist in Residence.

The space will be available for private parties and for park events.
