Police and witnesses say the man who is accused of shooting and injuring six at the FedEx facility in Kennesaw, Ga., on Tuesday was a 19-year-old man named Geddy Kramer, who strode into the building as if he were a character from an action movie — armed with an assault rifle, knife and belt of bullets that was strapped across his chest.

He looked “like Rambo,” one said, in the Daily Mail. Police added: He appeared “like he was heading to war,” armed also with Molotov cocktails, the Daily Mail said.

Kramer was an employee at the branch, located about 30 miles from Atlanta. His high school yearbook photograph shows him in black-tie dress, hair short and neatly groomed, with a smile on his face.

But Tuesday, he walked into the FedEx building and began shooting, ultimately injuring six and then taking his own life.

FedEx clerk Liza Aiken said in the Daily Mail that she came in direct contact with him — and that she panicked and ran.

“I looked to my left,” she told the newspaper. “I saw him standing there, and the knife was on the ground. … He had an assault rifle. He had bullets strapped to his chest like Rambo. I mean, he looked like he was heading into war. As soon as I saw him, I ran the other way. I ran and made sure that people upstairs were gone. He was all in black. I think he had a camo vest.”

Cobb County police said in the Los Angeles Times that they also found and disabled “incendiary devices” at the facility. It’s not clear yet what the motive was for the shootings.

The six injured — some critically — were taken to Wellstar Kennestone hospital.
