SCRANTON, Pa. (AP) - A defense attorney says a co-defendant is responsible for the murder of a man whose body was found in a northeastern Pennsylvania ravine last summer.

Twenty-three-year-old Jason Dominick is on trial in Lackawanna County in the death of 24-year-old Frank Bonacci, whose body was found in in his SUV on a ledge above Roaring Brook in July.

The (Scranton) Times-Tribune (https://bit.ly/1hUulp7 ) reports that defense attorney Bernard Brown blamed the killing on 23-year-old Neil Pal, whose trial is scheduled for June. He said his client just helped his lifelong friend cover up the murder.

Prosecutors earlier said Dominick shot Bonacci because the victim was dating his ex-girlfriend. He said the defendants then put a rock on the SUV’s gas pedal and sent it and the body down a 72-foot ravine.
