BRYAN, Texas (AP) - Three utility workers have been hurt during a fire at a Central Texas electric power plant.

City of Bryan spokeswoman Mary Lynne Stratta (STRAH’-duh) said Wednesday that one worker remains hospitalized following the fire at a Bryan Texas Utilities plant.

Investigators are trying to determine what sparked Tuesday afternoon’s fire at the city-run Atkins plant, which was offline at the time of the accident. Bryan firefighters extinguished the blaze within minutes.

Stratta says two workers, James Yendrey and Maurice Carlson, have minor injuries and were treated and released Tuesday night from a Bryan hospital. Neither man was burned. Stratta had no further details on their wounds.

Stratta says a third worker was transported to a Houston hospital. Stratta on Wednesday declined to release details on that injured man.
