LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) - New Mexico State University has received a license to sell beer and wine in the Pan American Center and likely will start doing so in June.

School President Garrey Carruthers told the NMSU regents of the plan on Thursday.

The Las Cruces Sun-News reports (https://bit.ly/1eeHg4C) that NMSU began the process to obtain an alcohol license in October after years of discussing the topic.

The university previously brought in outside companies to sell wine and beer at select Pan Am events, like big concerts or World Wrestling Entertainment competitions.
