ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - Recently hired South Florida coach Orlando Antigua is already mulling over potential assistant coaches, including his brother and some of his fellow assistants at Kentucky.

Antigua said before Thursday’s practice at AT&T Stadium that he’s trying to lay the groundwork for his new job, which he landed Tuesday, while helping Kentucky win its ninth national title.

The Wildcats play Wisconsin in the semifinals on Saturday night.

Antigua indicated he may try to hire his brother Oliver Antigua, an assistant at Seton Hall, saying “we’d love to have that opportunity if it works.” When asked whether he might bring some of his Kentucky colleagues with him, Antigua replied: “Maybe.”

Antigua is taking over for Stan Heath, who was fired by South Florida after seven seasons.
