ST. LOUIS (AP) - Outfielder Ryan Braun and shortstop Jean Segura are out of Milwaukee’s lineup for the third straight game because of injuries. Tthird baseman Aramis Ramirez also is sidelined with a swollen elbow a day after getting hit by a pitch.

Light-hitting Scooter Gennett batted third for the Brewers after hitting eighth for most of the season. Milwaukee took a majors-best 19-7 record into Tuesday night’s game against St. Louis.

Manager Ron Roenicke was hopeful Segura might be able to play Wednesday. He was recovering from being hit in the face while Braun was swinging a bat in the dugout. Segura took batting practice indoors, played catch and took grounders.

Roenicke said he didn’t expect either Braun or Ramirez to be in the lineup for the series finale. Roenicke said the timetable had not changed for Braun, who’s out with a right oblique strain.
