CHICAGO (AP) - An autopsy is planned on the remains of a middle-aged man whose body was pulled from the Chicago River.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports (https://bit.ly/1hMe9KT ) the man’s body was discovered Monday evening south of downtown.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office says the man was pronounced dead around 7:30 p.m.

His name and cause of death hasn’t yet been released, but officials say he was in his 50s.

Police are investigating.
