BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - State police say an Independence woman has died in a single vehicle on Interstate 10 in East Baton Rouge Parish.
The accident happened around 8 p.m. Monday.
Trooper Jared Sandifer says 51-year-old Patricia Martello was westbound on I-10 when her Honda Element struck a guardrail.
Sandifer says Martello was taken to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge where she died.
The accident remains under investigation.
