AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) - Democrat Mike Michaud (MEE’-shoh) has raised $462,000 and independent Eliot Cutler $389,000 in the latest reporting period for gubernatorial candidates in Maine.

Republican Gov. Paul LePage has raised $123,000.

The reports filed with the Maine Commission of Governmental Ethics and Election Practices on Tuesday cover contributions and expenditures from Jan. 1 through April 22.

Michaud’s contributions to date total $1.47 million in cash and in-kind contributions, and he had $813,000 cash on hand at the end of the period. Cutler’s campaign has brought in $1.26 million, including a pair of $200,000 loans from the candidate. Cutler’s campaign had a cash balance of nearly $110,000.

LePage’s campaign has more than $618,000 in cash on hand. His re-election campaign has brought in about $842,000 overall.
