CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - A Cheyenne elementary school teacher has pleaded not guilty to charges of having sex with a boy under the age of 14.

The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports (https://tinyurl.com/lngohja ) 54-year-old Anna-Maria Andersen pleaded not guilty on Monday to seven felony counts of sexual abuse of a minor.

If found guilty on all charges, she could face up to 165 years in prison.

School district officials say Andersen is on leave from her job as a sixth-grade teacher at Freedom Elementary until the end of the school year and that her contract won’t be renewed.

Andersen is accused of having sex with the boy on four occasions between June 2012 and March 2014. Court documents are unclear about whether the victim was her student.

Her trial is scheduled to start Aug. 5.
