CHESTER, Pa. (AP) - Authorities have released the name of a sport utility vehicle driver shot and killed by someone in another vehicle in southeastern Pennsylvania, triggering a brief warning at a nearby university.

The Delaware County Daily Times (https://bit.ly/1hHQrv7 ) reports that the Delaware County medical examiner’s office identified the victim as 22-year-old Javon Williams of Chester.

Police said he was driving an SUV Thursday morning in Chester when another vehicle pulled alongside and someone inside opened fire, hitting him multiple times.

Williams drove away and stopped a few blocks away, staggering away from his vehicle and collapsing on the sidewalk. He was pronounced dead at Crozer-Chester Medical Center.

Williams collapsed near the campus of Widener University, which told students and staff to stay inside but lifted the alert soon afterward.
