CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. (AP) - In a story April 27 about a New York Army National Guard command change, The Associated Press erroneously reported the unit Lt. Col. David Gagnon will oversee. It is the 106th Regional Training Institute, not Camp Smith.

CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. (AP) - A New York Army National Guard training unit has a new commander.
The state Division of Military and Naval Affairs announced Sunday that Army National Guard Lt. Col. David Gagnon will oversee the 106th Regional Training Institute at Camp Smith. The 1,900-acre facility is in Cortlandt Manor, about 30 miles north of New York City.
Gagnon is currently chief of protection for the 42nd Infantry Division in Troy.
Gagnon is a decorated Iraq war veteran and military police officer. He has served in the New York Army National Guard since 1986. He’ll be promoted to colonel on taking his new role.
He also is a certified public accountant. He lives in Stone Ridge.
He will replace Col. Michael Natali, who will become intelligence officer at New York National Guard headquarters.
