LINCOLN, Ill. (AP) - An Abraham Lincoln museum has reopened at a new location at Lincoln College.
Several months after the Lincoln Heritage Museum closed, it reopened in a new space over the weekend on the campus in Lincoln.
The (Bloomington) Pantagraph reports (https://bit.ly/1pEmvtB ) that the exhibit includes items from various times in Lincoln’s life, grouped together either by time period or subjects such as the Civil War.
There are also personal items from his family life - including a chair used by his children and a mirror that allows visitors to see the back of a chair where his son, Tad, carved his name with a pocket knife.
The museum also has interactive components, such as items like a book, plow or quilt that, when touched, trigger audio recordings.
