Pope John Paul II should have explained that the Catholic Church was infiltrated by pedophile priests who entered seminaries during the aggressive homosexual movement of the 1970s and ’80s.

Indeed, the church was mostly unaware of the unconscionable pedophiles who were deliberately becoming priests to prey upon the ample supplies of altar boys, and church leaders struggled too long with it.

Pope Francis would do well for the church by explaining the historical problem openly. Certainly, leaders of the homosexual community should break their silence and condemn all pedophile priests. The Catholic Church should not be blamed for pedophiles’ unspeakable sins. Surely, John Paul’s sainthood should not be blemished by them.
