MORROW, Ga. (AP) - Authorities in metro Atlanta say a police officer rushed into a burning home to save a man lying unconscious on the floor.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (https://bit.ly/1j6WRbR ) Clayton County police officers were at the scene of a house fire in Morrow early Sunday when 32-year-old Cassandra Jones told them her husband was still inside.

Police say officer Rocky Lee kicked in a kitchen door and crawled through thick smoke to find 37-year-old Fabian Jones and pull the unconscious man to safety.

Police say Fabian Jones was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to a hospital with non-life threatening burns.
