OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - People shouldn’t be alarmed if they see some unusual early morning activity at Quail Springs Mall in north Oklahoma City.

The Oklahoma City division of the FBI is conducting a training exercise at 1 a.m. Tuesday to simulate a terrorist attack at a public location.

The exercise will involve several different agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security and state and local law enforcement, fire and emergency medical personnel. It is expected to last until at least 7 a.m., and the public is asked to avoid the mall property during that time.

FBI spokesman Martinus McConnell says the exercise will simulate a “complex mall attack” and present participants with a variety of unique challenges, including active shooter scenarios.
