SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) - It was a violent weekend in Springfield with at least three people hurt in four separate shootings.

Police say from late Friday night through Saturday evening, three men showed up at city hospitals for treatment of gunshot wounds.

The first victims showed up at city emergency rooms just minutes apart just before midnight Friday. One man had a gunshot wound to the hip, the other was shot in the shoulder.

Police tell The Republican (https://bit.ly/1fork5G ) that both men were uncooperative with investigators.

Another man was shot in the foot at about 9 p.m. Saturday.

About an hour later, gunfire erupted in the city’s Indian Orchard neighborhood, and even though police collected several shell casings, there were no known injuries.
