ST. LOUIS (AP) - Police say two Washington University students are hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle.

The man and woman were returning to the campus in St. Louis late Sunday when a blue BMW struck a bus and then hit the students.

KMOV reports (https://bit.ly/1mR34M1 ) the students were hospitalized with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.

The driver of the car involved was taken into custody.

The university identified the victims as sophomores Shana Zucker and Richard Lee. They were returning to the school from an off-campus formal.
