THEMOPOLIS, Wyo. (AP) - A rally and meeting concerning a pool concessionaire at Hot Springs State Park attracted about 125 people.

Many of the people attending the event Saturday were supportive of the owners of TePee Pools.

The Wyoming Department of State Parks and Cultural Resources has been at odds with the owners about improving the facility.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1h3WTNy ) that state parks Director Milward Simpson took questions, criticisms, suggestions and concerns for about two hours.

Veterans, Shoshone tribe members and retired citizens stressed the primary importance of the pools as a source of healing. Others bristled at Simpson’s suggestion that the TePee Pools facility is not first-class to begin with.

A few conceded TePee Pools could improve its existing equipment and facilities.

Simpson promised monthly visits to Thermopolis on the issue.
