COVINGTON, La. (AP) - The Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra will perform at a free outdoor concert May 10 at Bogue Falaya Park in Covington.

The 6 p.m. performance is part of the city-sponsored Swing in the Pines celebration.

Seating is picnic-style and people attending are allowed to bring food and beverages.

The concert would be moved to May 11 if it is rained out on May10.

The orchestra will perform under the direction of conductor Raul Gomez.

Nola.comThe Times-Picayune reports (https://bit.ly/1nJxWLS) the Covington performance is one of a series of free concerts this spring. The orchestra also will perform in New Orleans, Metairie and Slidell.
