HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Connecticut workers who were injured or killed on the job are being remembered.
The Connecticut AFL-CIO, the state’s labor federation, is hosting Workers Memorial Day at noon Monday. The theme of this year’s event is “Safe Jobs Save Lives. Make Your Voice Heard.”
The annual ceremony will begin on the north steps of the state Capitol in Hartford. It will be followed by a short march to the Workers Memorial in nearby Bushnell Park, where wreaths will be laid.
