GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) - Police say five men have been arrested in a prostitution sting operation in Grand Forks.

Authorities say the men were arrested on charges of hiring an individual to engage in sexual activity. The misdemeanor charge is punishable by a $1,000 fine and 30 days in jail.

The Grand Forks Police Department says a hotel in the south end of the city assisted authorities during the operation.

The men have not been publicly identified.
