ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) - More than a dozen residents were displaced when a fast-moving fire roared through a rooming house in Atlantic City.

No serious injuries were reported in the blaze, which authorities say broke out around 8:30 p.m. Saturday and sent thick, black smoke spewing through the four-story building on Winchester Avenue. That made it tough for firefighters, who battled the blaze for a few hours before it was brought under control.

The Press of Atlantic City (https://bit.ly/QRJ7qD) reports that at least 14 displaced residents were being temporarily housed in a motel in nearby Egg Harbor Township.

Authorities say the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
