ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Police say three people were shot during a large fight outside an Anchorage nightclub early Saturday.

The Anchorage Daily News reports (https://bit.ly/1lU1dCg ) someone called police around 2:34 a.m. to report the shooting outside the Soraya Club.

Police spokeswoman Anita Shell reports witnesses said about 60 people were involved in the brawl that began inside and spilled out into the Sunshine Mall parking lot. Club security turned on the lights and ordered everyone out of the club after the fight began.

Shell says a 22-year-old woman and two 21-year-old men were shot and taken to a local hospital. The victim’s names were not released and the investigation is ongoing.

Shell says an out-of-state rap artist had drawn a large crowd to the club Friday night.

A flier posted outside the nightclub advertised a performance by Southern rap artist Pastor Troy, along with several opening acts.
