SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) - State Route 101 in Scottsdale is reopen after part of the freeway was closed for about three hours Friday morning as authorities dealt with a suicidal person on an overpass.

The closure was at the Thomas Road, where the suicidal person was on the overpass. Information on what happend with that person was not immediately available.

The Arizona Department of Transportation says it may take a while for traffic backups to clear up.
