NEW YORK (AP) - Police are questioning a man they say abducted a woman from her home in Queens, leaving their two young children behind.

The NYPD says the incident unfolded at 5:40 a.m. Friday when the man went to the woman’s house on 16th Road.

They say he grabbed her, dragged her to her car and forced her to drive.

A 911 caller alerted police and a patrol car spotted the vehicle a short time later.

Police say the car was pulled over and the man was taken into custody.

No charges were immediately filed.

Police say the woman and the children, ages 8 and 4, were not harmed.
