WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Police say a motorcyclist was killed after he collided with a car in Wilmington.

Police spokesman Cpl. Mark Ivey says 40-year-old Terrance Williams of Wilmington was riding south on North Market Street on Thursday evening when a northbound car turned into the motorcycle’s path. He says Williams was thrown from his motorcycle and ended up beneath the car. Ivey says Williams was not wearing a helmet.

Ivey says paramedics pronounced Williams dead on the scene.

The crash is under investigation. No charges have been filed.
