SALEM, N.H. (AP) - Police say a man in Salem, N.H., grabbed a stroller containing an 8-month-old baby and tried to run away before the parent was able to take the child back.

The incident happened Thursday in the woods near Zachary’s Crossing and Route 111 on the edge of the Windham Town Forest.

Police said a caller reported a white male between 20 and 30 years old, 5-foot-10 with black hair grabbed and ran away with the stroller. Parent and child had been on a path. The man was wearing a black sweater with hood and tan cargo pants.

Police said the parent was able to take control of the baby and the man fled on a path into Windham. He has not been found.
