OPINION:
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, the second-most powerful Democrat in our fair land, has a tenuous relationship with the truth.
His serial falsehoods, often issued from the well of the world’s greatest deliberative body, amaze even me, an old curmudgeon who defaults to cynicism as frequently as I draw breath.
Almost as disconcerting as Mr. Reid’s fevered imagination and conscienceless babble is the absence of any criticism from his buddies in the Democratic Party. Their silence puts me in mind of an observation by John Adams, our second president: “In my many years, I have come to a conclusion that one useless man is a shame, two is a law firm, and three or more is a Congress.”
