North Korea’s leading despot, Kim Jong-un, received the rock-star treatment during a recent inspection of a female artillery unit stationed near the border with South Korea.

He was swarmed by the female soldiers, who broke into emotional tears and tried to touch him, the New York Post reported.

The hysteria was captured on photos that were released on Thursday by government officials, just hours before President Obama stopped in South Korea.

Other pictures of the leader show him watching with admiration and approval as female soldiers drill at a military complex in the Kangwon Province, the New York Post reported.
