FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) - Federal prosecutors are pursuing charges against two men in connection with nearly 600 pounds of marijuana seized during a raid of a Fort Wayne house.

Court records show 49-year-old Luis Ramirez-Perez and 23-year-old Alvaro Rivera-Arvayo face marijuana distribution charges.

The Journal Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1mGKyn1) court records say federal agents intercepted 25 bales of marijuana being shipped through Indianapolis on April 14. Authorities say undercover agents drove the bales to Fort Wayne the next day and delivered them to the two men.

Officers raided the house later that day and reported finding the bales inside the attic, along with numerous freezer bags full of marijuana inside a freezer in an upstairs bedroom.

Defense attorneys for the men didn’t immediately return telephone messages Friday seeking comment
