ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Asheville police say an autopsy shows a Kentucky man whose body was found in the French Broad River drowned.

The Asheville Citizen-Times reported (https://avlne.ws/1gWHX3I) that the family of 25-year-old George Tyler Mullins thinks foul play was involved.

Mullins’ body was found by a kayaker in the river near Woodfin on March 15.

Mullins grew up in Grayson, Ky., and he was reported missing Dec. 18.

Warnie Mullins said police told him that his son was involved in a fight with several other men on the riverbank in Asheville and that his son wound up in the water. Warnie Mullins says he thinks the men threw his son into the water.
