WESTMINSTER, Md. (AP) - A second man has been sentenced in the fatal stabbing of a Westminster man in 2010.

The Carroll County Times (https://bit.ly/1htKWnU ) reports that 30-year-old Michael Brooks of Baltimore was sentenced Thursday in Westminster to 25 years in prison.

Brooks pleaded guilty in 2011 to first-degree felony murder in the slaying of 40-year-old Steven Hobson.

Prosecutors say the evidence shows that another Baltimore man, 29-year-old Tuson Reese, stabbed Hobson after he and Brooks broke into Hobson’s apartment. They say Brooks was charged with murder because he was present and involved in the underlying burglary.

Reese was sentenced Tuesday to life in prison.

Prosecutors say the defendants were drug dealers who broke into Hobson’s apartment to question him about an attempt to rob them earlier that night in the same apartment building.
