PASADENA, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a freeway accident involving two trucks continues to disrupt commuter train service northeast of downtown Los Angeles.
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority says Gold Line light-rail service between the Lake and Sierra Madre Villa stations remains shut down and buses will be substituted all day Friday.
City News Service reports the two truck drivers were injured, one seriously, in the accident Thursday in Pasadena.
The California Highway Patrol says a big-rig may have blown a tire before colliding with a box truck at about 1 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 210.
The big-rig, which was hauling a farm tractor, plowed onto Metro Gold Line tracks next to the freeway and hit a power pole.
The crash closed eastbound lanes for hours, snarling traffic, but all six lanes have now reopened.
