WELLSVILLE, Pa. (AP) - A central Pennsylvania man was arrested for allegedly robbing a York County bank after police say a witness intentionally crashed her vehicle into his getaway car.

Pennsylvania State Police said a 51-year-old woman followed the suspect out of the PNC Bank after the Wednesday morning robbery in Warrington Township and hopped in her car, crashing into the fleeing vehicle. Her name wasn’t released.

Police say the robber was able to drive off but his car became disabled about a quarter mile away, where he was captured after running into the woods.

Thirty-eight-year-old Alexis Laskowski of Mount Holly Springs is facing charges in the robbery.

State police praised the woman’s courage but urge the public to call 911 if they see a crime instead of putting themselves in harm’s way.
