STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) - Oklahoma State University has announced the deaths of two former standout basketball players.

OSU says 83-year-old Don Johnson and 90-year-old Weldon Kern both died Monday. The causes of the deaths were not released.

Johnson played for coach Henry Iba at what was then Oklahoma A&M from 1949-51 and was named All-American after the 1951 season. He was inducted into the OSU Athletics Hall of Honor in 2011.

Kern played for Iba in 1945-46 and was a starter on back-to-back national championship teams for Oklahoma A&M.
