CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto is urging Nevadans to safely dispose of unused prescription drugs by participating in a nationwide campaign.

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration will be hosting a prescription drug take back from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at various locations in Nevada and around the country.

Masto says the effort will help prevent children from having access to unused medicines by ensuring they are disposed of properly.

The Nevada Statewide Coalition Partnership is helping to coordinate drop-off locations around the state.

Nevadans can find the nearest drop-off site by entering their zip code on the Justice Department’s Office of Diversion Control website.
