DANVILLE, Ill. (AP) - The mother of a woman who was killed during a 2007 triple homicide in Danville testified her daughter seemed afraid the day before her death.
TaBreyon McCullough was 21 when she, 19-year-old Madisen Leverenz and 30-year-old Rodney Pepper were shot to death on March 25, 2007. Evidence presented against another man convicted in the deaths indicated they were killed over stolen cocaine and money.
The News-Gazette reported (https://bit.ly/1jVvqj8 ) Monica McCullough testified Wednesday during the trial of Jerome Harris of Danville that she saw her daughter talking on the phone in their home March 24. Monica McCullough said her daughter was yelling and seemed afraid.
Harris is charged with murder.
Freddell Bryant of Chicago was convicted in 2013 of murder in the case and sentenced to life in prison.
