ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Prosecutors say a Mexican national has been sentenced to nine years in prison for trafficking methamphetamine in northwestern New Mexico.

Pricilo Garcia-Jimenez of Oaxaca, Mexico, was sentenced in federal court in Albuquerque on Thursday. Since he was in the country illegally, federal officials say he will be deported after completing his prison sentence.

The 41-year-old Garcia-Jimenez was arrested in May 2012. He was accused of distributing meth to an undercover agent on five occasions between November 2011 and April 2012.

The case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations and members of a regional drug task force.
