BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - A Billings lawyer who will be publicly censured by the Montana Supreme Court faces two additional misconduct complaints.
The Billings Gazette reports (https://tinyurl.com/mjfxnro ) the state Commission on Practice heard evidence Thursday on complaints against Solomon Neuhardt over his handling of a criminal case and two personal injury cases.
Neuhardt represented himself but didn’t make a closing statement. He declined to comment on the hearing.
State officials who investigated the complaints recommended a one-year suspension in the criminal case and disbarment in the others.
The Commission on Practice will submit a recommendation to the Supreme Court, which will decide whether and how to act.
Neuhardt faces a public censure April 29 for representing a married couple charged in a drug case. The Supreme Court said that was a conflict of interest.
