STATESBORO, Ga. (AP) - An additional 15 people have been charged in connection with identity theft and tax fraud rings operating in and around Statesboro, Ga.

Prosecutors say 29-year-old Santana Lundy of Statesboro, Ga. and 32-year-old Katrina Beasley of Clayton, Ga. have not yet been arrested. The other 13 people were arrested this week.

Prosecutors say a total of 56 defendants were involved with using stolen identities to submit tax returns and get refunds.

Federal and state agencies, including the Internal Revenue Service, the Atlanta Federal Bureau of Investigation field office and the Georgia Department of Revenue, are working on the ongoing investigation.
