BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The U.S. Department of Agriculture says it’s providing $8 million in financing for five projects to improve water and wastewater services in rural North Dakota.
USDA state director Jasper Schneider says the funding will help improve water quality and protect the environment and natural resources.
Schneider says the USDA will provide $4.3 million in grants and $3.6 million in loans to the rural cities of Rolla, Napoleon, Oakes and Michigan. Included in that $3.6 million is about $800,000 to expand rural water to the Berthold and Carpio area.
