NEW YORK (AP) - New York City police say a 2-year-old boy fell out of a third-story window overnight but was not hurt.

It happened on Chrystie Street in Lower Manhattan around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Police say the toddler fell on a shed containing garbage cans.

He was taken to a hospital for evaluation. Police say he only had bumps and bruises.

Police say the family was home at the time.

They say some of the windows in the apartment had bars but not the one from which the boy fell.

No charges have been filed.
