Gabby Giffords, the former lawmaker who was shot and then started a nationwide legislative campaign to crack down on Second Amendment freedoms, has a new gun control fundraising friend: Bill Clinton.

The former president is due to serve as the keynote speaker at an event sponsored by Americans for Responsible Solutions — the same gun-control group started by Ms. Giffords and her husband, Mark Kelly.

The event is a fundraiser and is set for the home of Bill Rudin, a real estate bigwig who lives in New York City, Breitbart reported.

Ms. Giffords has been seen schmoozing with the Clintons in the last few weeks.

“[She’s] appeared with the Clinton family in recent weeks at a Clinton Global Initiative University community service event in Arizona,” Politico reported.

And now Mr. Clinton appears to be returning the appearance favor — though he has issued a caveat to Democrats that rabid crackdowns on gun rights could anger those “people entrenched in the gun culture,” he has previously stated, Breitbart reported.
