FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Two-time gymnastics national champion Katherine Grable from the University of Arkansas is among the finalists for the gymnastics’ Honda Award.
The award is given each year to the top women athletes in 12 NCAA-sanctioned sports and signifies “the best of the best in collegiate athletics.” The recipient becomes a finalist for the Collegiate Woman Athlete of the Year.
Grable is a senior who became the first national champion in UA women’s gymnastics history.
The other gymnastics’ finalists are Bridget Sloan of Florida, Kim Jacob of Alabama and Emily Wong of Nebraska.
