RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - The Virginia Department of the Treasury’s annual auction of unclaimed property is underway.

Items up for bid include musical instruments, electronics, jewelry, coins, collectibles and other items. Bids are being taken online at www.ebidlocal.com under the heading “VA Treasury Dept. Unclaimed Property Auction Online.” All items are being sold as-is, and successful bidders must either pick up their purchase or follow the website’s instructions to arrange for shipping.

Prospective bidders can get a firsthand look at items from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Thursday at the James Monroe Building in Richmond.
