GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Authorities say a Raleigh man faces multiple drug charges following a traffic stop in Greenville.
WCTI reports (https://bit.ly/1iGHjvh) the Greenville Police Department said 21-year-old Faisal Tyler Moghadass is being held in the Pitt County jail under a $1.3 million bond. It couldn’t be determined if Moghadass has an attorney.
Police said the Greenville Regional Drug Task Force and Drug Enforcement Administration agents stopped Moghadass on April 16 on the city’s west side. Moghadass, who was the only person in the vehicle, was arrested on multiple drug charges.
Investigators said 454 grams of the club drug known as “Molly” and two pounds of high-grade marijuana were seized during the traffic stop. A search of Moghadass’ home in Raleigh turned up 1,647 grams of “Molly” and about 200 grams of high-grade marijuana.
The Greenville arrest was the latest legal problem for Moghadass.
The News & Observer of Raleigh reported last October that he was arrested along with another man for conspiring to sell marijuana to another man.
According to the newspaper, Raleigh police charged Moghadass last April with marijuana possession with intent to sell or distribute it, possession of cocaine and maintaining a vehicle. Four years ago, he was arrested by Raleigh police at Millbrook High School and charged with drug offenses, having a weapon on school property and other counts.
After his arrest last April, he was convicted on possession of drug paraphernalia and ordered to enter drug treatment. The drug charges were dismissed by the district attorney’s office.
