BOISE, Idaho (AP) - A 44-year-old Meridian man who pleaded guilty to operating an illegal gambling business has been sentenced in U.S. District Court in Boise.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Idaho says Kings Daniel Santy on Monday was sentenced to two years of probation, a $3,000 fine, three months of home detention, and 100 hours of community service.
U.S. District Judge Edward J. Lodge also ordered Santy to forfeit $16,000 in seized currency and at least $100,000 in cash proceeds.
Santy in February pleaded guilty to one count of operating an illegal gambling business.
Prosecutors say Santy ran two illegal gambling businesses for seven years, one in Boise and the other in Nampa.
